Restaurants and Nightlife
2900 – The Restaurant
Refined elegance is the watchword at this tiny eatery in the revitalized Uptown area where diners can watch the chefs at work through a huge glass wall. It's a little pricey but worth the cost, with an extensive wine menu. The house specialty is prime rib, but it's the southern-style horseradish mashed potatoes that steal the show.
Angela’s Bistro 51
Owner and Executive Chef Angela Gordon has taken her highly successful, almost 30-year-old catering business to the next level with Angela's Bistro 51. The charming red-brick building is located on the corner of Guillot and Boll in the Historic State-Thomas District.
Arcodoro & Pomodoro
Be swept away to the Mediterranean. Experience Chef Francesco Farris's 4-Star Italian cuisine. Sardinian specialties abound including homemade pastas, fresh seafood, incredible steaks, and stellar desserts. Enjoy the Pomodoro room for quiet dining, the grill for action, or the patio for dining al fresco.
Baker Brother’s American Deli
Baker Bros. American Deli and its sophisticated flavors are fancier than the average deli. On the surface, the menu is basic: sandwiches, salads, soups, potatoes, and pizza. But the options available are above average.
Bambino’s Italian Grill
Beau Nash
Nestled in the Crescent Court, this chic New American haunt offers an impeccable menu, eccentric pizzas, and brunch but is more celebrated for the "beautiful people" that its dynamic bar attracts. Many weekends this hotspot touts big band music with notables such as Hunter Sullivan playing and the whole place dancing and having fun.
Breadwinners Café & Bakery

Beyond the bakery is the cozy, intimate dining room with our brick layered courtyard and atrium...perfect for romantic outdoor dining.
Café Express
Cafe Express is a better way to eat because of the fresh, handmade food (like at a fancy full service restaurant) and the freedom of self-service. Chipotle
The place jumps and grooves. Chicken sizzles and you smell the spices. Everyone moves quickly. Music is a little too loud. Polished steel tables and blonde wood chairs dance under alien space-ship ductwork. Light plays off every surface. Mayan glyphs and gothic trashcans mix with leather stools and red concrete floors.
Christie’s Sports Bar

Arts and Entertainment

Crow Collection
Exhibiting works of art from Japan, China, India, and Southeast Asia, the Crow Collection of Asian Art offers visitors a peaceful world of beauty and spirituality in the heart of the city. Because many objects now considered "art" were created for religious purposes, many of the pieces in the permanent collection represent deities from various religions, including Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, and Jainism. The works of art, dating from 3500 B.C. to the early 20th century, include precious jade ornaments from China, delicate Japanese scrolls, and a rarely seen 28-foot by 12-foot sandstone facade of an 18th century Indian residence. The Crow Collection is nestled as a small jewel in the heart of Dallas - in the bustling and fast-growing Arts District.
Dallas Meyerson Symphony Center
Ground was broken in September of 1985 and in September of 1989, the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center opened its doors to international critical acclaim. It now stands as a tribute to a city that continues to set standards in musical excellence. The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center rises proudly in the Dallas Arts District as the architectural and acoustical benchmark by which concert halls around the world are judged.
Dallas Museum of Art
The Dallas Museum of Art recently celebrated one hundred years of connecting art and people. Established in 1903, the Museum features an outstanding collection of more than 23,000 works of art from around the world, from ancient to modern times. The Museum also has a long history of providing varied and dynamic programs, events, and exhibitions to engage our visitors more fully with the art.
Kitchen Dog Theater
It is the mission of Kitchen Dog Theater to provide a place where questions of justice, morality, and human freedom can be explored. We invite our audiences to be provoked, challenged, and amazed. We believe the theater is a site of individual discovery as well as a force against conventional views of the self and experience. It is not a provider of answers, but an invitation to question. Since theater of this kind is not bound by any tradition, Kitchen Dog Theater is committed to exploring these questions whether they are found in the classics, contemporary works, or new plays.
Magnolia Theatre
The MAC
The McKinney Avenue Contemporary is a non-profit contemporary visual and performing arts space. The MAC offers opportunities for experimentation and for the presentation of new art in all disciplines, and provides a forum for critical dialog between emerging and established artists and their audiences.
The Nasher Sculpture Center
Situated in downtown Dallas at the base of the city’s skyline, the Nasher Sculpture Center represents Ray Nasher’s vision to create an outdoor "roof-less" museum that will serve as a peaceful retreat for reflection of art and nature and public home for his collection of 20th-century sculpture. The goal was to produce a structure of lasting significance that will sustain the legacy of the collection -- a kind of noble ruin reminiscent of the solidly-grounded archaeological sites of ancient civilization and their continuity through time.

  • Application Process
    • Availability
Applications for apartment homes will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to the availability of the apartment type requested. Rental Rates are subject to change without notice.
      Rental Applications
An Application for Residency must be completed and maintained for each legal adult prospective resident who will be living in the apartment and/or is on the lease agreement. A separate Application may be needed from anyone guaranteeing the lease obligation or contributing to the payment of rent. Any false information will constitute grounds for rejection of the application and, if discovered after the lease has been signed, the right to possession and/or the lease may be terminated.
      FACTA
The Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act of 2003, also know as The FACT Act or FACTA, was designed to prevent, detect and mitigate identity theft. Each applicant is required to provide a copy of a valid driver’s license or passport or other acceptable government issued identification in person prior to taking occupancy of the premises in order to comply with the requirements of The FACT Act.
      Roommates
Each person must complete an application and will jointly qualify for the apartment. Each roommate is fully responsible for the entire rental payment, and each must execute the Residential Rental Agreement [Lease] and its supporting documents.
      Evaluation
As a means of evaluating credit, the following information is evaluated with a scoring method that weighs the indicators of future rent payment performance. The score is based on statistical analysis of trade lines presented to our third party screening company. Based on the score, we may choose to accept or reject an applicant, or seek additional requirements for approving the lease. These requirements may include, but are not limited to, additional documentation of income or employment, additional rental references, an additional deposit, additional verification of the Social Security Number, or the guarantee of the lease by a qualified guarantor.
      Qualifying Standards
Post may obtain a background report in connection with the Application and such report may include information on the applicant's credit and criminal histories. This application may be rejected based on information contained in such reports.

Post's Resident Selection Criteria includes: (1) criminal history, (2) previous rental history, (3) current income, (4) credit history, (5) failure to provide accurate or complete information on the application form, and (6) any other legitimate non-discriminatory information that might be relevant to the resident selection process.

If the applicant does not meet the selection criteria, or if the applicant provides inaccurate or incomplete information, the application may be rejected and the Non-Refundable Application Fee, and Guarantor Fee (if any), will not be refunded.

      Residence History
Up to 12 months of rental or housing history may be verified on present and previous residence. A positive record of prompt monthly payment, sufficient notice, and no damages is expected. For applicants who are homeowners, permission must be granted to verify payment history with the bank or lending institution.

      Credit Report
An unsatisfactory credit report can disqualify an applicant from renting an apartment home at this community. An unsatisfactory credit report is one that reflects past or current bad debts, late payments or unpaid bills, liens, judgments or bankruptcies. If an applicant is rejected for poor credit history, the applicant will be given the name, address and telephone number of the credit reporting agency that provided the credit report (but not be told the content of the credit report). An applicant rejected for unsatisfactory credit is encouraged to obtain a copy of the credit report from the credit reporting agency, correct any erroneous information that may be on the report, and resubmit an application to this community.

      Employment Verification
Stable employment record and/or income verification may be required. In order for an applicant to be approved, he/she must generally earn on a gross monthly basis a minimum of three times the gross monthly leased rent. (This ratio may differ from property to property and may be changed without notice.) Acceptable income verification if required may include: a pay stub, a letter from the employer, the most recent W-2 form, or, for self-employed applicants, a copy of the most recent tax return or certified verification from his/her company accountant or bank.

      Criminal Background
Grounds for rejection of an applicant or occupant may include, but are not limited to, any felony conviction or arrest record, or inclusion on the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) list. We also do not lease to applicants with certain misdemeanor arrests and convictions.

      Guarantors
In the event a guarantor is required, he/she must complete an Application and meet all income and qualifying standards. A guarantor will be fully responsible for the Residential Rental Agreement [Lease] if the occupying resident(s) defaults. A guarantor may not be a replacement for an unsatisfactory credit evaluation.

      Subletting
Subletting is prohibited without the prior written consent of management.
      Occupancy Standards
We strive to create a living environment for individuals who take pride in a quiet, well-maintained community. By limiting the number of occupants in our apartments, we feel that a peaceful community will be achieved and that our residents will have sufficient space to enjoy their homes. This prevents excessive wear and tear on our apartments, thus sustaining our quality. Overcrowded parking lots are typically avoided.

We will permit up to two occupants in a one-bedroom apartment, four familial-status occupants or two roommates in a two-bedroom, up to six familial-status occupants or three roommates in a three-bedroom home, and eight familial-status occupants or four roommates in a four-bedroom. These standards may differ by property or based upon unique floorplans. Please contact the appropriate leasing office with any questions.
